When lion-kun was in korea, the sets were put in this place with a background of the city (made in lego!).... thats quite difficult to do for us, but the closest to get to it it to use an actual background. Superimpose the design with that bg. (take with a white/green even coloured bg then use some photoshop tool to do it). Lion-kun has done this for one of the GUIs for the client during a walkthrough and yeah... even Lion-kun with no design background or knowledge whatsoever on photoshop could do it. remove the colour with some sort of lasso tool, and then paste the image of the MOC on top of the desire BG.

PROS: i. saves time and material (even resources!) on printing etc
ii. reusability and availability (the net has an unlimited supply, and.. you cna always use your fav. bg)

CONS: i. license for software costs $
ii. Beiginners may find it tough to use the software
iii. May be difficult to select the photo of choice for the bg

Admin-san, does TLG send you any posters of lego-city? Maybe a long 2 feet wide vs 2 metre in length picture of the lego city or lego construction etc. Could be an insentive for submitting MOCs, or as free gift with purchases from BBastion.  Cheesy

For picture snapping purposes, if you have a large Computer Monitor, you could open a background, catch a certain angle and snap.

There are a large amount of photoshop alternatives:

    http://www.osalt.com/photoshop

Gimp is quite popular and its free.

Hmmm the distributor did not send me any cutboard or background cut-outs. Maybe I should ask again.
