If anyone is wondering why am I reviewing a Duplo set instead of the usual City/Technic sets, it is because last Sunday the 20th of June was my 26th birthday and my parents bought the Duplo set as a present to me Cheesy They wanted to give me something unusual and thus come out with the idea to give me a Lego set with a Tiger (since it is a year of a Tiger).  Shocked

Curious to find out what is inside a Duplo set? I was surprised at its contents too.

    Anyway, onto the review  Cool

The front of the box shows the Tiger cub (its mother is in a larger zoo set) being patted by a female zookeeper. The price to piece ratio is insanely high here, but then this is Duplo after all.

The rear of the box shows the zookeeper resting on a giant green Duplo brick. At the top of the box is a 1:1 scale drawing showing the size of a Duplo brick

The contents of the box is the mini Duplo-figure, a flower piece (to feed the tiger?  Huh? ), 1 green Duplo brick, the tiger cub in a plastic bag and surprise surprise, a small catalog booklet!! I thought TLG has ceased inserting catalogs into their sets, but apparently they still do it for sets aimed at very very young customers! No internet to check out the new sets I think.

No Death Star, Star Destroyer nor Venators in this catalog, only sets from the Duplo range. Near the end are some sets from the basic range (those buckets with bricks sets)

A front view of the Duplo figure as well as the tiger cub. The tiger cub orange color is very lively (need DSLR to really show).

A rear view of the Duplo figure and another view of the Tiger cub.

I find it odd that the tiger's stripes are only at the top of the body. Still it is a very cute figure.  Azn

Here's our zookeeper trying to fed the cub ... flowers?.. In the other sets they gave a real big chunk of meat. Guess it costs too much to make 1 piece of meat.

The plastic is not that lembut comparing with the normal bricks. I think it costs a bomb coz no sharp edges and maybe using a safer kind of plastic in case the bricks and tiger become chew toys instead. The tiger is 2 pieces of plastic joined together at the center.
