Interesting, they actually replied and asking you to seek Bricklink! Usually the any big brand company will not ask you to seek those grey import/3rd party markets.

I too have ALOT of parts that need to replace/buy again, not for my 8448,but for my Classic Town sets Cry

I already have this HUGE excel list of parts to buy, but never got around to buy the parts online coz too busy and also currently no budget. The price of parts is very small, but I am afraid of the shipping cost.

As for Lego coming here in 2012, hopefully they will have some kind of brick replacement parts. For now we can only dream.

in the replacement parts screen in the Lego site, they ask for our location, and I picked Malaysia of cause, then they reply they are not avail in Malaysia, so they asked me to try on those Lego fan site, that's the only way right? =)

I mailed them the list already, now pending for their reply, hopefully the price is not that expensive...I'm going to have the send it to my sister in the States. Still waiting...=)

The delivery cost of the set I bought was around RM200 from Germany...ouch...kekeke

    hey tuan,

lego replied me, and they told me they can get me those missing pieces, some pieces they say are not available, maybe later I'll let you know then maybe you can help me out on those in brick links? the total price for them are like 62USD. Is it costly?

oh I've made a ketupat! well two actually, it's not pretty as I don't have those necessary colored bricks hehe...where should I post it? hmmm...=)

USD62 inclusive of shipping seems OK to me considering the large number of bricks missing.

For bricklink, would take more than one site to get the required bricks, not to mention the time taken to search for them.

If I were you, I would go for it.

As for the ketupat, put it under the MOC section Cheesy
