    Well it seems that all sorts of problems are the same when I MOC my motorized excavators last time.
    The first protoype has all motors in the superstructure and transmitted through the turn table which turns out power-less.
    The second trial used two battery boxes each for the undercarriage and the superstructure. Then it solve most of the problems.
    Have to employ PF XL motors too.

    How about down-sizing the excavator?  Cool

    Great Work Yaki!

    The way it moved as fast as like my motorized bulldozer. Got to try and dissemble by excavator and put it against the original power function dozer. But the B-model can lift up stuff with its bucket unlike my dozer (which actually the real thing cannot lift anything up, just meant to push things).

    Yaki, can you rename the title of the video to show it is about the B-model? The title is like it is about the excavator. Quite funny to see a bulldozer on the preview screen when the title is about the excavator. Some people may not know what is shown is the B-model.

    Ohm's law states:

    P = I x V

    if V less, P also less kua  Tongue
    7.2V vs 9V... That's 20% less. I tried to time for the LA to expand and contract for both Energizer batteries and rechargeable Energizer batteries. The rechargeable one took about 22 seconds for the full cycle while the non-rechargeable one took 18 seconds for the cycle. That's about 22% slower...

    Lolz, there is 1 more thing i haven try yet is using a higher amp adapter to boost the current but remain a  constant 9v. Hope i don fry the circuits on the battery box.  Wink

    Ohm's law also states V = IR. If you fix the V but the motor resistance is the same, the current will remain. The only problem with the low ampere power adapter is, the voltage will drop when it hits its maximum current output. So if your current adapter that you are using is so low power, then it make sense for you to use the higher power one. Otherwise I believe it will not make it faster unless you jack up the voltage, too high might fry the circuitry.

    Good luck... Don't fry it...  Cheesy

    Rubikian, tats wad i'm trying to fiddle with the current to boost the power bcos the voltage remains constant.

    So, if we fry the battery box or the motor, can we buy the replacement in Malaysia?
