Hi All, I would like to share with you guys that 8295 - Telescopic Handler is an "all-wheel-steering" set.
These are some items I found:

    1. The front and rear axles steer in the direction opposite to each other allowing it to turn is small turning radius.

    2. Unlike conventional steering rack & pinion gear assembly, 8925 - Telescopic Handler doesn't use rack & pinion steering.
It uses multiple arms and levers to steer.

Here are the pictures taken from the under side showing the steering mechanism

    Excellent review Chang Fei!

Looking at the in construction pictures, the telescopic handler isn't as bad as what I have heard. The telescopic mechanism is perfect for those crane with telescopic boom MOCS. Also did not realized it has 4 wheel steering as well.

The only down side is the lack of motors to move the boom and linear actuator, but that is easily solved using the PF motor pack.

    Thanks Grin

Again, as I always said, paanjang16 is very analytical.
    Your comments are very true.
However, I don't quite like the steering mechnism. It is quite heavy to steer.

The reason for me to acquire this telescopic handler was partly due to some hard-to-get parts such as rack gears & etc for my MOC's.

yeah, cheng fei is right...i just received mine 2 days ago...
assemble it for nearly 4 hours and i realized (for me), its one of the worst technic machine........
    because :

    1.its hard to steer
    2. the swicth mechanism (red swith) are easy to loose
    3. too many space to fill above the main chassis (under the boom)
    4. cant carry much weight (this is acceptable)
    5. very leceh to install power function(have to take out this and that), have to tear some parts apart and put it back
    6. the front and rear mudguard are ugly
    7. the steering rack under the chassis make it harder to steer on rough terrain (example ; on bed, and sometimes on floor) because it located too low.

sorry for the comments but this is it(based on my opinion after bought tons of sets)....by the way, i,m very happy because finally i got this set...really wide vehicle and really "fierce" set...

ps: still wait for my towtruck, pneumatic crane truck (8436) and the 8421.

Wow Elin! 4 hours to assemble this set is quite fast.
I often take time to assemble my Lego set.
Well, this doesn't mean that I can't assemble fast, but I'd prefer to enjoy the time assembling the set.
During which I'd like to think of how the designer of the set got the idea.

Well, 8295 can be consider a big set where we can gte a lot of pieces.
