    Minifigs
    ---------

The minifigs in this set consists of Kit Fisto, and two clone troopers with orange shades permanently painted on the top half of their heads!

Fisto's head is made of rubber. Its pretty cool actually save for the extra long "tentacles" that extend beyond his hip. While playing, some care must be taken so that its not damaged if he is put into a sitting position.

As for the clone troopers, one of the is suppose to be "Captain Jag". Well, the only thing differentiating them is the helmet!

The sticker sheets are smei-transparent. Pretty hard to stick. A pen knife would come in handy in this situation! We won't want thumbprints on them won't we?

Notice the flick fire mechanism? Its activated by pushing the "plunger" at the tail of the fighter.

Here is the inside view of the cockpits

Kit Fisto is actually an unwelcomed guest. Notice they gave him a seat near some nasty looking gears?!

Its natural to be curious on how 8088 stacks up against its predessesor - 7259. Here is a comparison.

    Conclusion
    -------------

    Pros:
    i) The 8088 has a smoother "beak"
ii) It has Kit Fisto! For those that missed set 7661, this is a good chance to grab him
iii) Clone troopers have cool orange facepaint (visors, actually)

    Cons:
    i) It looks almost the same as the old set, be it the height, wing span or functionality
ii) Wing span rather big, would be a problem for display

New one have a "fatter" and SNOT nose.

I still prefer my original over the new one as:-
    1) The original ARC have ALL printed pieces! All the pieces which were printed in the original version is now a sticker in the new one!

    2) It puzzles me to have Kit Fisto on board. Maybe for a Clone war episode?

But i do see some improvements:
    1) The pilot cockpit now have a window which can open on a hinge (the original requires you to take the whole window out)
    2) Pilot now have a instrument panel to fly with though Poor Kit Fisto have to use the force to shoot down trifighters.

    3) Useful flick-fire mechanism instead of bomb bay.

I have to agree with paanjang on the stickers.

    They SUCK.

On the flip side, if it manages to capture my thumbprint before its applied. Maybe when I am long gone and buried, somehow, the future generation might know that set was pasanged by me (maybe become a story one national geographic or discovery channel).

Aside from the stickers, I think this set is much slicker than the previous. At least the troopers in this set have faces Cheesy
